The Big Story:

When Donald Trump hit the first 100 days of his second term, they were seen as the most consequential of any American president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1933.

Why?

Trump is not a 21st century FDR, a president elected during the Great Depression and passionately working for bold legislative and regulatory action to help the American people.

And why should we, the people, care about the first 100 days, anyway? They have no constitutional or statutory significance and amount to roughly 1.4% of the four-year span of a presidential term?
