As it turns out retailers are bending the knee and doffing their cap with gay abandon, ahead of the May 6 coronation.
Almost every ad, everywhere – for clothes, (Corona) beer, Fortnum & Mason hampers – is pretending to ardent monarchist sentiment in hopes of parting Brits from their money. The actual tat, including doggy T-shirts for god’s sakes, is emblazoned with crowns and suchlike.
